RUTH (MASSEY) STILES EMail: rcstiles@mindspring.com 2838 Plaza Rojo, Sante Fe, New Mexico, 87507 (505) 473 - 3775 Dear Class of ’56,
How can I catch you up on my life when I don’t remember where we left off? I think I’ll start with now and work backwards as needed. My husband Charles and I are living in Santa Fe, NM as of June, 2005, and we love it! We live in the Park Plazas subdivision which is located on the southwest side and has hiking/biking trails along a “green” belt with views of the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountains plus the Sandia Peak. I put “green” in quotations because we moved here after 41 years in the Houston area. Green is a relative term. Charles and I have been married 46 years now and have two married daughters and four grandchildren. We love visiting them. Deirdre, our older daughter, lives with her family in Asheville, NC, now after living four years in Sussex, England. Valerie and her family are relatively close by in Denver. Charles and I are both retired, he from real estate law, and I from librarianship. My last job was part-time government documents reference librarian at Rice University, which I enjoyed very much. We’re finding plenty to do in Santa Fe: courses at the community college and with Renesan (associated with Elderhostel), summer opera, chamber music, plays, hiking, and eating northern New Mexican food. Love those green chiles! Pictures left to right: 1) Ruth and husband Charles in Cornwall, 2) Older daughter Deirdre with husband Marc and Daughter Katherine, 3) Deirdre and Marc's son Nicolas, 4) Younger daughter Valerie, Husband Jim, Older daughter Andrea and younger daughter Teresa
