I'm sure everyone is saying the same thing -- ''where have the last 50 years gone to?''  Seems like only yesterday we walked out of the school building for the last time as seniors -- and here it is, 50 years later.  My life is pretty much the same as it has been for the past several years.  I am semi-retired, still help to look after my two grandsons, Connor and Trevor.  I also spend 2-3 mornings a week working for one of my law professors that I worked with at SMU.   It also seems now I'm back in the car pooling business, as Connor and Trevor both are in karate classes, and Connor plays basketball.  Daughter Paula is a CPA, and her husband, Calvin, is a Dallas firefighter/paramedic.  Daughter Peggy works for a doctor who specializes in addictions, and she is very active in animal rescue work.  Her husband, Bob,  is in sales distribution for a local shrink-wrap company.  They have no children, except for their cats!  I've been blessed with good health all these years, so feel very thankful.  My interests are still gardening, needlework, and working any Thomas Kinkade jigsaw puzzle I can lay my hands on.  The group picture is of our family at Thanksgiving.  Paula is a scrapbooking fiend, and seldom misses an opportunity to scrapbook everything!  The other picture is of myself with Connor and Trevor, on the balcony of a wonderful beach house Paula and Cal rented on Mustang Island for a long weekend.  Now there's where I would like to retire to!  It's relatively unspoiled, not like Padre.  We all fell in love with the place.  As for memorabilia -- would you believe I still have a meal ticket to the school cafeteria, price $1.50 for 5 meals?  That wouldn't even buy one meal now, I bet!  Looking forward to seeing all of you next fall, God willing.  Kathleen Cox Vaughan
